IESB.net has posted a new interview with Fox Film Group President Tom Rothman in which he talks about X-Men: The Last Stand, Fantastic Four 2 and Alien vs. Predator 2. Here's a clip:
You'll see more of the X-Men world. You know, we're developing a Wolverine movie right now, we're developing a Magneto picture. What I will say is, I'm gonna give an Alan Greenspan type answer but it's the truth which is, which I am sure will parse endlessly, this movie which I can tell you now the official title, if you like you can break that story, is X-Men: The Last Stand, it's is the conclusion of this trilogy. These three movies work as a trilogy. These characters in this relationship, it's the culminaton of that saga. It's the culmination and the resolution of those relationships laid out in the first two movies. That doesn't mean never, I would ever say never again but I will say that this brings that saga to an end. It's quite the way the last Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, brought that trilogy to a conclusion in terms of those characters, that's what this movie does. It goes all the way back to the first one and rounds off and completes that three part story.

i actually cant believe they r not making the third film abou the phoenix and its more about the b'hood, i mean we seen enough of them already, its becoming more and more about them and not jean! also use the x-men more they seem to be,small guys fighting when they shud have alot more x-men and not put classic x-men such as psylocke in magentps team!!

in x men 3 it is confirmed that jean grey will have a majour role and there is a whole company working on the effects just for jean some scenes related to jean that i can confirm are:
1-an origon scene showing what xavierdid to jean when he first met her and why magneto was with him how can i confirm this scene? well why else is there someone in the actor list portraying young jean grey
2-alkali lake jean grey rebirth and death of cyke we see some of that in the trailer
3-x men and brotherhood outside jean grey's house if you concentrate in the trailer you will see a glimpse of that scene thats the one during which storm spins and attack arclight and beast is atrtacking some soldiors
what i think will happen with jean in the film?
well she will be reborn at alkali lake scott will be there she will be unable to control her powers now that the mental blocks xavier had placed are out and will accidentally kill her fiance storm and logan will find her at alkali lake and take her back to the x mansion where xavier examines her she then wakes up and leaves the x mansion and goes to magneto and joins the brotherhood when she joins magneto calls her "phoenix" and teaches her how to control her powers she learns for magneto that xavier but mental blocks in her mind when she was a girl to block her powers out of fear and jealousy and takes her to the xm nasion to assure she doesnt use her powers to their limits so as not to put strain on the blocks jean now holds xavier responsible for the death of cyclops and feels that he betrayed her and goes into a rage and kills him..
