With "X2" reving up over $80 million dollars this past weekend, it's not a bad guess that 20th Century Fox is already throwing together plans for "X-Men 3". But who will back back?The Chicago Sun-Times reports, for one thing, that director Bryan Singer may return to "X3" but not necessarily as a director. "It depends on the circumstances. I know I love this cast and I love the experiences I have on these movies. I feel great affection and proprietorship when it comes to this franchise, so I would probably want to be involved in a third film." Singer hinted that he would want to do smaller films for the next couple of years.
And so which actors will return? Anna Paquin (Rogue), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), Aaron Stanford (Pyro), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (Mystique) are all firmly committed to a third film. The other actors do not have contracts for another film, but that's not to say that they're not coming back.
Hugh Jackman told The Chicago Sun-Times, "I'm sure they're planning 'X3,' and all I can say is I love this character," Jackman says. "There's so much more meat on the bone than you would ever hope to get out of a movie like this and it's great fun. You have all the action, too. Of course, my agent says, 'Never say definitely yes, Hugh!' "
It was rumored that Halle Berry and director Bryan Singer didn't get along on the set. So if Singer's out of the director's chair, could Berry decide to return as Storm? Berry told CBS News, “Storm is sort of the earth mother of the bunch,” says Berry. "That's what I like to call her. Essentially that's what she is. And her specific mutation is she can control the weather with her mind. Her eyes turn white and she can make wind, rain, hail, thunder. And she's a pretty good fighter, although, she doesn't fight in the movies as much as she should.”
Famke Janssen tells The Toronto Sun: "I have a firm commitment to the X-Men movies. They are my priority. I've signed for a third. If, and when, it happens I'll arrange my schedule around it...I have no idea where the writers will go with Jean's story, but there are some great possibilities and ones I'd really like to explore."
Whatever happens, "X3" is reportedly being planned for a holiday 2006 release.
Olá! This may sound really stupid but who is Blink and what is his power? For the 3 i would love to see Gambit, I was kinda disapointed when he didn't apper in the first was prepared for the 2nd! lol But you now they have to bring something to the story so don't now how much he could bring! Also why did storm lose her accent? And doesn't she have blue eyes? don't get me wrong she is my favourite and i thing Halle is the best !
X3 possibilities
I've only read through the first couple of pages of posts, and have found a couple errors. Wanda Maximoff is Quicksilver's sister, not his wife. Also, in Secret Wars, the Hulk does not turn grey until well after he gets back to Earth.
Anyway, what about the X-Men facing the Brood? Or the Hellfire Club? Or the ultimate sentinel, Nimrod? I think that Phoenix should appear near the end of X3, and play a key part in X4. Of course, in a Wolverine spinoff, he should face off against Alpha Flight, since that was the group of heroes he was originally meant to join.
If we are going to figure this out we have got to be legit about it. Well in the two big minor characters that came out of X2 is Colossus and remy lebeau (name on the database). and for some stupid reason everyone thinks Gambit will be in Xmen 3 but in the comic books Gambit was a loner and he was in cahoots with Rogue and Rogue was raised by Mystique. But in the Movies rogue was founded by Wolverine and Rogue is in love with Bobby Drake so there is no reason to have GAMBIT in the third installment so far they would put Colussus in the thrid movie before Gambit because he was seen in X2 >>>>>>sorry bout forgetting Shadowcat/Kitty Pryde in my previous post>>>>>>>>>
Hmmm... I understand, but, my thing is, why don't they have ALL members of the Orginal team at least make an apperance. I don't know if they will do a phoenix saga, that will be too much money (maybe, don't jump me on this), with all the space stuff, it might turn out like Star Wars. I would rather see either a sentinels thing, or something like that.......
