The real reason 'nothing' happened to Superman is because Waverider saved his ass. Here is the whole scene, with no deliberate twisting of the truth...
Dominus preforms multiversal mind-phuckery on Superman in Action Comics #748, just as Waverider and the Linear Men arrive:
In the subsequent issue(MoS #83), Waverider uses his powers to free Superman from said mind-phuckery, thereby saving him:
^^Superman certainly was not resisting the mind-phuckery in any way/shape/form on is own.
So all the facts considered, I don't know why you'd even post that showing on Superman's behalf..? Or were you just hoping that nobody else had read the pertinent issues?

A mistake here or there is one thing but to purposely leave out the context to make your character look better does more harm than good to your character while torching your own reputation in the process.
i agree. it's one thing to make a mistake, but it's another thing to lie about a scene all together just to try and make your pet character look better. i'll let you decide which category this falls under.
