I have Part 1 and 2 on VHS and they are NOT DIGITALLY ALTERED!! (I am looking for part 3 but I dunno if I can find it! (Finding 2 was a pleasant surprise!))

But there is a digitally remastered edition on VHS that is the OOT. I still have that one. It's basically only cleaned up and the audio converted to THX... I would certainly like that one on Blu Ray.

In one level I agree with you... on the other I don't. It's not one guy who wrote it, it's the result of a poll among Empire readers. But true, there is a strong SW lobby among the readers. Last time The Godfather was no.1 (now no.2).

Glad I've watched all of them for the first time on the THX version.
