Lol what? Night Owl took a beating from Ozymandias, who is far and above anything Bane can do. And NO himself was tossing guys like ragdolls and casually breaking their bones. Also he was pretty skilled and a genius. He easily figures out Bane's mask helps him not die. Breaks it. He doesn't even need to though, because he could just snap Bane's arms.
So, he took a beating from Ozy, he got his butt kicked by him actually, how does that mean he would taken down Bane? And no, I dont see Nite Owl figuring out Banes vulnerability, Batman didnt, he had to be told, and no, I dont see Nite Owl breaking Banes arms apart either. The only skilled person Nite Owl fought in the entire movie was Ozy, and he got demolished by him. Im not saying Bane would beat Ozy, probably likewise, but Bane has more experience fighting single high skilled opponents than Nite Owl does, or at least a better record at doing so.
But hey, to each their own, you see it one way, I another.
I'm saying he's incredibly durable to take such punishment and keep going. Punishment beyond what Bane is capable of dishing out as Ozy was easily sending him and Rorsarch flying.
Nite Owl is a genius, so he'd figured it out pretty quick. Big burly guy, breathes like he's got serious asthma and needs a big freaky mask? Somethings up with the mask. Even then, vs rules state they have basic knowledge of one another.
And Bane, while strong, isn't so strong he's beyond regular people. The stuff he did regular bodybuilders(the big beefy guys who pull trucks and shit) could do as well. Owl could snap his bones if he wanted, or he could just take advantage of being faster and a better fighter to beat him down.
Disagree based on what evidence though is what I'm asking.
What degree of superhuman durability has Bane shown to make you think Owl can't break him like he did other normal people?
What degree of speed and skill did he show that makes him faster and more skilled than Owl?
What strength has Bane displayed that is anywhere near what Ozy did?
Banes durability was such that Batman going all out on him, growling with effort on each strike, didnt noticeably affect Bane at all. Batman was able to KO trained military personnel with his strikes, yet Bane took them with relative stride. That is much more than simple normal human durability.
Bane was also strong enough to lift Batman with one arm, while walking, with relative ease. He was also capable of punching apart a concrete column of a federal building. Clearly Bane was protrayed as stronger than most any human, certainly stronger than Nite Owl was shown to be.
Speed and skill seemed pretty even with Nite Owl (probably a slight nod to NO there), who again lost to the only skilled person who he ever fought, he did great against common street thugs and criminals (which Bane would have murdered just as easily), but against a single skilled foe he got Pummeled. Bane at least beat Batman, who personally Id say is on the level of Nite Owl as well.
There is literally Nothing Nite Owl did fighting-wise in Watchmen that Bane from DKR couldnt do as well.
Bane is as smart as he is strong, hes as brutal as he is skilled, he is the Clubber Lang to Batmans Rocky (Nite Owl would be Apollo Creed there). 🙂
