Ventress has collapsed ceilings, raised the dead, caused avalanches, force choked Obi wan, and hurled trees. She should talk an edge in force.
Ventress's saber feats including regularly engaging Jedi council members, defeating Fisto, fighting Obi wan, Dooku, and Anakin. She takes sabers with ease imo.

Mind you, the people Nihl fights regularly are Jedi council equivalents, top duelists from his time.
He's force-choked Cade Skywalker (stronger in the force than Kenobi), zapped with force lightning, and while he hasn't done much with TK, he has beaten Talon, who's shown TK at least as strong if not stronger than Asajj.
Both combatants are badasses.

Ventress isn't going to lose a Force competition. The best Darth Nihl can go for is a stalemate with her, the fact that he has lightning in his arsenal is irrelevant. Unless it's considerably more powerful than Dooku's, she can deflect it with her lightsaber.
As Carthage has mentioned, Ventress has collapsed massive ceilings, she was able to raise the dead, (though it was on a Nexus), she has started avalanches, hurled trees at Anakin, and TK'd AotC Obi-Wan. Darth Nihl doesn't really have much on that.
As for her abilities as a duelist, yeah, she's defeated Jedi Council Members and throughout the course of the Clone Wars has engaged with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker respectively and survived each encounter. She even held her ground against Mace Windu rather well early in the war, you know. Darth Nihl is impressive, but less so.
Ultimately Ventress is the more skilled duelist, naturally from her specialization in Makashi and Jar'Kai. She's also the more talented Force User, even if Darth Nihl is powerful enough to compete. On top of this, she's both quicker and more agile than her adversary, and her strength is immensely impressive as well. It's a good fight, but Nihl seems a tad outmatched.

Not really. Cade got one kick (after Nihl had just pushed away Jariah Syn, who was helping) and then retreated. Nihl was fine, just too far away to follow.
It wasn't until Claws of the Dragon that Cade got a legit win.
