The Predator (2018)

Aliens vs. Predator vs. The Terminator was a really fun read.

So was Terminator vs RoboCop

Does Disney own the Predator franchise now as a whole or just movie rights?

Through sheer chance, my GF and I ended up getting a private screening of this in London. Now, it may have been the sheer awesomeness of that effecting my judgement, but I came out thinking that this was a brilliant ****ing film.

I have yet to read a single comic in the Predator or Alien universe. Heck the only Dark horse comic I've read is the one where Odin gives Thor a funeral.
And I haven't read Indie comics either.
And I've been keeping away from all comics until recently

A pred using a gun happens in the story Predator: Big Game

also i was going through my Predator Omnibus's, Notice with one story called 'Bad Blood' it has some similarities to this new movie.

Yeah. That was a fun comic. A mix of pred history and Navajo Mythology. Good Stuff. Too bad modern hollywood is to full of its own PC Bullshit to make a good movie from a good comic anymore.

F*ck this movie!

Explains so much.

Wow...that is looking HORRIBLE!

That looks more like an Aliens type of story.

Still would've liked to have seen their original plans for this movie.

Still aint seen this one so I can't say.

I'm hoping they scrap this current story of DNA splicing Predators and mecha-suits and just reboot; go back to Predator roots: An alien(s) from an advanced civilization on a big game hunt. Worked well for Predator, Predator II and Predators.

Not doing a sequel to Predators was a shame, that had potential.

That video is painfully accurate. This movie was legitimately one of the dumbest films I have watched in a long time.

When I have some time and a desire for masochism I plan to watch this. 😘 🙁

Jesus, I watched it. This was a massive misfire.

From what I had heard and knowing what I know about Shane Black, I guess it was about what I expected. It basically seemed like he got confused while writing it and stuck a couple Predators into a sequel to The Nice Guys or something. The Nice Guys was actually good, but that tone is completely wrong for a Predator film. And as a result NONE of the "humor" was funny. Had this film been disassociated from the Predator franchise it could have worked much better.

This at least makes me appreciate how much was done right for Predators (2010) even more. Still wish they'd do a follow-up to that.

The Nice Guys was actually good?...wish it were with the version that i watched of it.
