Bastila was leading the team if I'm not mistaken so it is likely that she was the strongest jedi in the group. Revan would probably be able to kill them.
He would conquer the galaxy and wage war on the true sith empire where he would most likely lose hard. It would work out pretty well for the hidden sith empire as they wouldn't have to be the offensive side on the galactic war.

Why did the sith win against the republic when they returned then?
They were extremely powerful and had excellent leadership. Vitiate showed Revan the Star Force technology. They had a lot of knowledge of the force too. The Dark Council + Dread Masters + Vitiate and his armies/fleets > Revan's empire

She could've been leader just because she's battle meditator.
Battle meditator + two combat types can be a very nasty combination. Remember the team vs Zannah and Bane often only had 2 combatants per sith, and that was a pretty rough fight.
Plus we know Darth Revan was less than lightside Revan.

Force users are very important in wars in SW. Revan's empire would be much weaker in that regard.
