Well yeah, but to exploit those Gannicus would need to get in close, and Gannicus wears no armor. One hit from The Mountain would probably kill him, whereas Gannicus will need to try and pick apart The Mountain by going for the weak spots.
The Mountain isn't exactly that slow. Plus he has a huge reach advantage over Gannicus. The Viper was able to use speed to dance around Gregor because he had a reach advantage with his spear. Gannicus doesn't have that.
What you're telling me is that Gannicus is fast enough to get close in to Gregor, find and hit his weak spot, dance back out of range all without getting grappled or hit by The Mountain? Gannicus isn't that fast nor is The Mountain that slow.
Gannicus takes this. He is WAY faster and more skilled than The Mountain.
Given the downright cartoony/McClane-like damage soak the top tier Spartacus guys have, The Mountain would have to land a killing blow very early in the match to stand a chance of winning. Otherwise, Gannicus dances around him and wears him out. And given the speed and skill difference between the two parties, I don't see that early killing strike happening.
As for Theokoles, if both had the same gear he would MURDER The Mountain easily. Only thing Gregor has going for him here is his armour. And pretty much nothing short of a decap will stop Theokoles. Also, the fact he beat Oenomaus (IMO the guy who really was the most skilled fighter out of the main cast), while the latter was in his prime, shows you that he indeed had to have some skill.
