Loki is ludicrously intelligent, as is Thanos...Loki can summon universe ending artifacts. Depending on what either have access to it can go either way.
Number 1 goes to Loki.
AS LONG AS LOKI STAYS AWAY.
If it gets physical its over, in all apart from 2.
IF loki uses his powers smartly like he is more than capable than doing, Thanos will realize who is the more formidable opponent.
Leaning towards Loki.
He's a very powerful, unpredictable, ruthless and cunning opponent with more deadly tricks up his sleeve than Thanos. His durability and strength vary however, sometimes it's so and so, other times he's written like a true class 100 character.
Oh he's also very fast and a true master of sorcery...
It won't be a stomp, but even if Thanos wins, it won't be easy.

really? odin had his hands full, but you think loki could take him? odin has dealt with loki with a gesture. loki has been shown to be definitively below thor, and thor....has NOT had a good history agianst thanos. loki could last a while, i've no doubt, but i can't see him ever being a threat at all. i don't see how this isn't spite tbh. :/
With prep loki wins.
Loki when written properly can give Thanos a run for his money.
Odin had his hands full..agreed.
Loki got swiped with the twilight sword and recovered very quickly.
He held off surtur while Odin & Thor recovered from tag teaming him.
And no Thanos does not best Loki in magic, Loki has been said to almost rival dormammu in sheer magical power.
I wish loki could be written properly and his true extent of powers are shown!
But Thanos wins 6/10 but with prep and on asgard, he ****s thanos up big time.

Loki had trouble with Apocalypse and always does with Thor. Thanos took hits from the magus powered by 5 infinity gems and was fine.
Loki's magic won't really phase Thanos even classic Dr Strange said he was no match for Thanos.
Even on Asgard Thanos takes him handily .
