Nah, not at all. Should it? Its a passive setting in the battle, just treat it as such. Unless you want to be realistic about the whole thing, if she dies to Barris the effects end.

Either way I'd give it to team two. Savage impresses me more than anyone else in this battle as far as skill in personal combat goes.
