And it would be turned away because John has messed around with Mistress Death and is holding her hostage (like Loki once did), or has done a deal with her so that if Thanos forfeits the match, she will welcome him etc etc.

THAT is how he fights. Not really by raiding his armoury and coming out to fight ina massive display of power.

We know that he was more powerful than Death by proxy since he was more powerful than the LT. So you tell me. If you are referring to Thanos' methods of obtaining power, he did so through prep several times, and was successful. No matter if you don't see this as being anything special, it's a clear indication of how crafty he is. It wouldn't be much if this had only happened once, but he has a history of such feats, to the point that he is nearly defined by his plans of conquest.

So, concerning "Marvel: The End" ....

Don't get me wrong, one has to really look at the details to realize these extras,
but they are imo what defines the full scope of what Thanos did which was beyond "universal" imo.

It's all about this, after absorbing the LT, but more importantly he erases Eternity/Infinity.

Eternity/Infinity the embodiments of This Universe. (616)
There's also every hierarchal Cosmic, every hero/villain, and the entire race of Celestials.

If Thanos' absorption was limited to the confines of 616, how did he manage to absorb Gamora and Atleza?

Warlock survives because of his unique status as a character, explained in the scan. (and many other stories)
If this fact was referenced then it tells us Gamora/Atleza got erased, yet they were all outside 616.

This Warlock details isn't constricted to the HOTI story,
it's Warlock's character always: (here are a few examples below)

The HOTI/U affected only one universe, and it wasn't the 616 universe.

The LT, every cosmic abstract, and every character affected by the HOTI/U was confined to a single universe and the version of that cosmic of that universe.

Did you read any of what Mr. Master wrote? He has all of the scans needed. What more is there to say? LT is a Multiversal entity, and yet Thanos with the HOTU was able to easily over power him, and the rest of those Abstracts. Again, what more is there to say? Also how does this negate the fact that Thanos has done more with prep than John Constantine? This is why I brought it up. Not to argue semantics on whether it was Universal, or Multiversal. Mr. Master knows far more than I do on the subject of these really powerful characters, and he agreed that it was multiversal in power.

Then how is it that he erased more than just 616 continuity? I mean if it were only a universal power, it shouldn't have affected more than 616 correct? Did you take a glance at Mr. Master's input on the subject?

I absorbed everything Mr. Master posted, and it all demonstrates to me that it was within the entirety of a single universe. There were no universes outside of the affected universe, only pockets within the affected universe affected with their connected cosmic deities.
