Oh man, there was another study that did just that.
They had a control group rate some men based on attractiveness: blank pictures.
Then they had another group rate the same group of men on attractiveness but added text that included a title and pay. The women did not come remotely close to matching the control group: the women found the men with prestigious-job-having and high-paying jobs to be the most attractive.
To be sure of their results, the repeated the second test but changed the jobs and incomes around, again. Same result.
Some of the uglier men that the control group rated less than 5 sometimes become "perfect 10s" if they made a lot of money!
A successful man is more attractive than an unsuccessful one.
Some people say this points to how shallow women naturally are. Maybe it means the opposite? Maybe they can look beyond the physical and are attracted to more abstract things (like power). Makes sense...security and safety.
As always, there are definitely exceptions to studies like these. I just find sexology interesting because humans are supposed to be these sapient beings be we clearly are animals like every other species. 🙂
