Good one I am going to go with Doc Holiday. Now if you went with the Audie Murphy version based upon the The Kid from Texas (Universal, 1950) movie, I would say Billy the Kid.

Nice! I vaguely remember that movie. Having been military, Murphy's movies have popped up in a lot of 24 hour shift movie cues! Thanks for posting. Am reading The Doctor and The Kid by Mike Resnick, and it got me to try this thread out.

The book i just read listed Kilmer as having played Billy. Damn if he didnt, just 4 years prior to Tonbstone! Kilmer Vs Kilmer might implode the internet, though...
