Bruce Banner figured out Tony Stark's "Avengers Machine," realized that Tony, along with Reed Richards, Hank McCoy, and T'Challa had been building something in an issue of standard "Avengers." He basically used his brain to realize that the Marvel "elite" were up to something, and then Hulk-ed is way into an introduction to the Illuminati.
