This version of Megatron might be even more op then UK Galvatron.. Guy tanked the equivalent of a tactical nuke, that injured Prime pretty badly even though he was on the fringes of the explosion, and his rail gun is a city buster at less then full power.
And Metroplex is big, but he's not indestructible. More then once, he was threatened by swarms of smaller attackers chipping away at him, using melee tactics, and not a city buster cannon.

Do you think this Megatron's taken the OP throne from UK Galvatron?
He has very few showings, but the ones he does have are insane.. Kind of a shame that Ore 13 body was discarded without really exploring its limits. At the very least, I was kind of hoping Overlord would catch up to him before the body switch.
Not to say I'm not happy with where they've gone since.. More Then Meets the Eye is so good, going back to Chaos and earlier stories kind of looks dated and a bit dull by comparison.
Originally posted by cdtmoh yes, definitely. the implied power multiplier gained from ore 13 is absolutely massive.

yeah, some of their more resent stories/arcs have been incredible. i, for one, thoroughly enjoyed dark cybertron.
I'm a little sad I stopped following Transformers comics. But I'm oddly thrilled to see this discussion going on.
My gut would want to side hard with Metroplex, but I'm unfamiliar with the OP's version of Megatron. The references to UK Galvatron are amusing though, since it's one that I get. Dude must be scary as all get-out.
You have no idea. 🙂
Monstructor, Sixshot, and Thunderwing were powerful, sure, but it was different with Megs. Basically, all of a sudden, Megatron goes from being Primes equal worthy of respect, to being someone so far above his level, he can't even take him seriously anymore. The guy was like PC Validus with a brain and a sadistic streak, like a kid with a magnifying glass over an ant hill.

I take back what I said about Thunderwing.
Just re-read Stormbringer, and there's a one panel flashback where Thunderwing's advancing against attacks from Megatron, Optimus Prime, Omega Supreme, and Trypticon!
So he was pretty much unstoppable, pre resurrection. Post is a different story, as he was running off Ultra Energon, which burns out quickly, and Prime was able to exploit.
