So crazy what they did to the character in Origins: Wolverine.

Then when they make a movie that's true to the source material it blows the Wolverine movie off the radar.

Going by the way Gavin Hood tells it in that link, There was much involvement from the studio.

Deadpool's now made $758mil and change. Considering it cost around $58mil to make, that's a cool $700mil or so in profit from the film that some idiot prayed would "flop". Lolz

And it wasn't even that good of a movie!

So what have we learned?

Answer: Deadpool >>>>>> BvS

Batman v. Superman really failed hard. Two icons. Lol.

We were making fun of Quanchi The Troll guaranteeing Deadpool would be a a flop and a terrible movie, but you just had to come in and divert attention from that to take yet another dig at BvS instead. Way to play right into the Troll's hands.

TBF, Deadpool did better than many SH flicks when you factor in cost-to-profit, how many SH flicks made 13x (and still earning) their budget. That's before factoring in it was R, had limited to no 3D sales and wasn't shown in China. One thing we can say for sure, DP definitely didn't 'flop'.

Yep. Only Billion Dollar grossing movies could have made more profit than Deadpool.

Moral of the story? Don't trust Marvel haters like Quanchi when they say an obscure Marvel property will Flop.

I agree with several other people here. I didn't think Deadpool was terrible but I wouldn't say I thought it was amazing. I do feel it's overrated in MY OPINION. I understand why people like it but for me, it was TRYING way to hard to be funny instead of just being funny. There were a few scenes that made me laugh but other than that I thought it just was forced. That being said, again, I understand why people liked it. I probably still think it was a 6.5-7/10 for me. Watchable but I only saw it once and probably won't watch it again for a long time

I've seen it twice, it's not as funny on the second viewing when you know the gags are coming. Not one of the SH flicks you can watch over and over and still be just as entertained(imo), like CA:TWS or GoTG.

Do intend on watching it again if there's an extended, unrated or director's cut when the Bluray comes out, but other than that, will likely be a long time before I watch it again
