Deadpool (2016)

Deadpool and Cable would be a great Netflix series. But a movie is better than nothing.

LoLz. Deadpool has Golden Globe nominations.

The film that some mudflap(s) predicted would "flop", yet went on to earn almost $800mil without 3D and some key markets. Hahaha.

Just watched it again. Fantastic film. Great mix of humour, action, romance, and even got serious with the cancer thing.

The person who didn't like it isn't really a fan of Marvel characters, or a fan of great story telling. He's just a fan of Corporate Marvel. He sides with the team that makes more money, thinking that gives his life some validation.

I thought it was good just not great. It didn't really do anything I aint seen before.

Hardcore Henry was the better movie.

I'd rather just play a FPS game then watch Hardcore Henry.

Thats because you just like having a joystick in your hand.

Face it. HH was the BETTER Movie over DP. Better Story. Better Comedic Characters. Plot was less "Been There/Done That" and it had a Better Villain!

FACT!

At least you have more control over it and more fun, then watching a movie version of that sort of thing

IYO.

And MINE is the ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS!

Ugh

as bad as Quan with that sort of thinking.

At least I am more colorful of a personality.

Even Chappie was a better movie for Sharlto Copley than Hardcore Henry.

Respectfully disagree.
The many personalities Sharlto played in HH was pure entertainment.

Sure, I have no problem with you disagreeing. My opinion is obviously subjective.

One, I like cyberpunk a lot more than first-person shooters.

Two, I'm South African so it was very entertaining watching Chappie. I think if you are not familiar with the culture it is possible to miss a lot of the ways the movie pokes fun at it, and therefore a lot of the satire.

Three, to me it felt like Hardcore Henry was more of a gimmick than a movie. I love action but I have, for example, watched Deadpool over and over again, while I just shrugged when Hardcore Henry was over and promptly forgot about it.

Sure thing.
But I never compared HH to DP.
I was focusing more on Sharlto's acting capabilities.
Playing multiple characters on HH was more entertaining to me than just being a voice-over.

Ah, okay. To me it kind of felt like the same thing, since we don't really see Sharlto (Henry). We just see everything from his point of view while he shouts and yells. 😂

Thats pretty much my reaction to Deadpool. For me it was Instantly forgettable. I chuckled a few times but none of the jokes were that good. HH might have been a Gimmic but it was a rather new Gimmick.. DP just followed all the same old comic book movie tropes.

👆

When i saw the trailer I predicted that 'Hardcore Henry' would be repetitive and boring, and 20 minutes into the movie i was proven correct.

It wasn't a good story and the gimmick was best left as a music video.
