Dante vs. RWBYverse

Two scenarios.

Scenario 1: DMC3 Dante, armed with Rebellion and E&I. Beowulf gauntlets too. He takes on the entire verse at the same time.

Scenario 2: This is DmC Dante, armed with Rebellion and E&I. He also gets Eryx.

For both scenarios, DT is a last resort and last resort ONLY.

How does this go?

I'll let you know when I finish the DMC franchise and season 2 of RWBY.

Alright. And I believe episode 2 of volume 2 of RWBY just came out yesterday.

honestly i don't like stomp thread.... 😐

Dante stomps Round 1 easily

Not sure about round 2, from what I've seen he should be on their level

... speed differences in scenario 1 is why it's such a stomp?

Feats for RWBY?

Well Yang is the main heavy hitter along with Nora shown thus far. Yang can toss around people like nothing and punch someone hard enough to send him flying a few dozen feet in under a second or so and that was a casual thing on her part. Tough enough to tank blows of a similar level and her gauntlets, due to being shotgun-like in nature, amps her attacks. She is fast enough to dodge gunfire (though it was most likely a case of aim-dodging) with enough ease and she's nowhere near the fastest of the verse.

Ruby would be the fastest of the verse shown thus far and she can move fast enough to crater a stone wall without even touching it when coming to a stop, in addition to creating enough air pressure to cause several people and damn near everything in the room to be lifted up and slammed into said wall. She's definitely above human strength as she can kick people across a store and out a window and her scythe combined with said strength is great enough to easily cut through trees. Not to mention her scythe is also a rifle.

Other characters tend to be able to keep up with her to an extent and their weapons are pretty diverse with Prryha having a sword that can turn into a javelin/spear and a rifle in addition to a shield and having magnetism. Nora (mentioned above) is strong enough to knock Yang through a stone ceiling at least several meters above and keep her airborne for a few minutes and her weapon is a hammer that can double as some kind of energy gun.

There are other characters like Sun who have a staff that can turn into gun-chuks (shotgun-chuks to be precise) and the guy he fought was good enough to deflect the shots at point blank range while fighting off his other attacks.

From one of the trailers, there's also Adam Taurus, who can effortlessly deflect bullets with his sword and slice through several robots fast enough that they all exploded simultaneously despite the distance between the one in front and the one in back. And he can apparently absorb energy (though it takes time for him to use this ability apparently) and unleash a slice so devastating that it obliterates the spider droid he was fighting (which is double the size or so of a minivan, though I could be wrong on that), slices all of the cargo on the train platform he was on as well as part of the forest background.

These are the feats that immediately leap into my mind.

Dante3 seems to be a deal faster than Ruby, a good lead on the verse, and. By the description stronger than Yang seeing as he casually slapped a guy across a that distance too and could shatter statues with taps, both without strength amping gauntlets. As a while bullets aren't the way to go. He could play with Lady and her expert gunplay and even a dozen demon mobsters toting semiautomatics. Melee fairs much better.

With the differences and the great ability advantages, I see Dante taking on all mentioned without taking too much damage. A stomp if his soul techs or DT are counted.

NuDante would struggle, if he wins. He lacks the same damage soak and regen, and seeing as his speed is the same as the RWBY cast.. I mean he successfully takes on a handful of demons who deflect bullets with swords, it's just that's not to such an extent that he'll dance around characters here. The one saving grace is is his strength, being physically the strongest one here. Given y he chance he may be able to two shot the tanky ones. Lastly DTs time slow would offer an instant advantage.

Yeah, though DMC 3 Dante didn't knock the demon quite that far and he struck the stone statue quite hard out of anger, so he might not have the strength advantage.

I do agree with you on DmC Dante though.

Still, there are plenty of feats in RWBY that I am forgetting here. You would probably have to watch the series itself to see they are capable of.

Maybe more equal on strength then, minus gauntlets and DT.

Been meaning to give it a watch.

Possibly. And since this is a verse thread that I started, I'm also including the monsters (called the Grimm) too.

Yeah, you can find all first 16 episodes on Yotube. They tend to be 15 minutes each in length or much shorter, so you can go through them in record time.
