Besides, even if you believe he didn't throw the duel, it's indisputable that he was faking at the end. Mace even acknowledged that Anakin needed to intervene were they to destroy Sidious, his lightsaber was being bent back into his face!
Still, a Darth Yoda won't be any stronger, and maybe a bit weaker, than Sidious, and that fight was close, it was not at all out of the question for Sids to lose.
And if this is an open fight, there's the possibility of the matchups going different. Like, if Mace is the first to engage, then taking out the other Masters will be harder and take longer, making him use up more endurance before he's able to bring it down to one on one.

Incorrect. The only reference we have to Darth Yoda in Dark Rendezvous states pretty plainly that he would annihilate even Darth Sidious. So Yoda plows through this team with laughable ease.
