Well the image has gone through some filtering of some description, just look at the fleshtones.
In fact, now that I look at it again having had some sleep, I would not be surprised if this picture is actually taken of a large plasma screen monitor such as GL has been using to view the digital footage once filmed.
I think that red light may well be a little over exposed and could just be simple red light on the backside of the control panel.

I wonder why he doesn't wear his helmet. I can remember Boba wearing it with that antenna thing down in front of his helmet, as if it was used to get some navigational aid from that thing. Maybe this orange thing does the same.
