I'd argue that there are a few force users who can solidly defeat Krayt. Krayt, IMO, is just a bit above Dooku in the force. I use to think otherwise. It was actually NewGuys' arguments that convinced me he has an edge over Dooku in force powers, even despite that I've read all of the Legacy comics for myself.

While Vitiate may be a bit above Krayt in the force, his most impressive combat feat isn't enough to take Krayt out, IMO. He's not overwhelming Krayt with the lightning, given Krayts immense strength and durability, and he has no fighting skills to fall back on against Krayt.

Plus Krayt has the ability to redirect lightning or intercept it with his own lightning that's powerful enough to shatter stone walls. Basically he has far more ways in defending against Vitiate's greatest attack than the 4 jedi that Vitiate did take out.
