The weakest version classic Spawn (#1-30) can still beat Hal via Teledismemberment, illusions, or BFR into hell with a swipe of his cape.

Average Spawn of the series can do all these things, as well Mind Rape, and Transmutation.

The current Jim Downing Spawn can BFR anyone with shadows or darkness, as well summon Maggots that can devour just about anything from the inside of people.

So all in all Hal cannot really beat any version Spawn thanks to all these versions having ways to win as well instant Regen to tank whatever he throws at them.
