Freddy is inside the guys dreams. Superman can't get past the recurring nightmare of the oil tower koing him. Can Superman over that traumatic experience along with letting all his fathers down in the end to defeat Freddy in a battle to the death.

Considering that he never even reflects on the oil rig later in the film, I'd say he was over it right after it happened.

But anyway, this is still a massive butthurt spite thread. Freddy is a god in dream world. Nothing Superman can do to a guy who controls the playing field in any way he wants to.
