Assuming there are equal possibilities of the couples to give birth either to a boy or girl, we have:
50% chance the first child to be a boy, 50% to be a girl.
If it's a girl, then it's 50% second child to be a boy, 50% a girl.
If it's a girl once more, the third child will be 50% a boy and 50% a girl.
And it goes on like that, so the number of the boys will eventually be equal to the girl's.
