Unbeatable

List your top 5 characters, (High Herald and below only) who, staying in character, if they decided to take someone down, and fought at full potential, using all their resources, would be almost impossible to beat.
We can critique and compare.

In no particular order:

1. Flash
2. Dr. Doom
3. Superman
4. Thor
5. Hank Pym

1. Flash

D.S. tells me he can "steal speed"? Even from people and objects that are NOT part of the speed force? Meaning he can not only move faster than most people can react, he can effectively stop them from moving at all.
I don't see a practical way for most people to beat that.
Good top choice.

2. Dr. Doom

Force fields that can withstand the force of an angry Hulk, mind and spirit transfer ability, knowledge and skill with mystical arts, intellect that approaches that of Reed Richards, and a will that enabled him to fight even when he was literally being dissected by the pre-retcon Beyonder, whose power he then went on to acquire for himself.

For a guy with no actual innate superhuman characteristics, Doom is pretty d--- impressive.

3. Superman Thor

Superman does not have enough versatility to outrank Thor.
He is also more vulnerable to magic.

I absolutely cannot see Superman doing to Classic Juggernaut what Thor manages here, forcefield and all:

4. Superman Martian Manhunter

While not as invulnerable as Superman, J'onnz has no reason to take damage in the first place. Not with the ability to read minds, move at superspeed, turn invisible, turn intangible AND shift to other forms.
J'onnz jobbing would be outranked by Superman.
But J'onnz jobbing would be outranked by almost anyone else, too.

5. Superman

Since I'm just going by your list, I'll resist the urge to put down Silver Surfer for #5. Or Sentry, who goes through so many changes and upgrades that he might not qualify as a mere "max high herald" anyway.

I want very badly to put one of them down here.
But, for now, I'm going to resist ...

Old habits die hard.

The LINK version of Thor versus Classic Juggernaut, the type of tough, magic-enabled being I cannot see Superman faring well against, and the reason I honestly don't think Supes can be given the nod over Thor.

So any time someone says that superman is NOT unbeatable and the comics back that up VERY well, its looked upon as hate from a superman fan? Maybe its the notion that superman fans love for the character HATE to read anything other than... Superman wins or Superman is the best. Anything short of that is Hate huh?

I know you don't know the history of Blue, or much of anything, but it's not because of one post he made in a vacuum. But here's two pineapples.

They're the lollipops after painful shots for you.

Pre Armageddon Spawn.
Jim Downing Spawn.
Zarathos Ghost Rider.
Nobel Kale Ghost Rider.
Composite Godzilla.

Thats basically Delta's agenda, yes.

LOBO.
Close the thread.

It'll die quickly enough on its own...😉

There is no such thing as an unbeatable character. It has never existed because the writers always leave a weakness to exploit, and all characters have them. Doom had his day when he met Sentry, the Hulk had his when he met the Surfer, Surfer met Thanos, Thanos met Galactus, Galactus met Krona....

^What weaknesses were exploited?

Those are purely incidents of characters meeting other characters who are more powerful than him.

mmm

To be fair, Spider-Man has beaten Quicksilver, Speed Demon, Hulk, Classic Juggernaut and Firelord ... sometimes even when these people had HELP fighting against him ...
