Also I'll go out here and say that Full Metal Jacket is a little overrated. The first half was good and a little disturbing which was the point. I liked it. Second half was meh.

Black Hawk Down was a great action movie but was obviously a "rah rah **** yeah Murica" movie. Lacks the depth of a SPR.

Haven't seen older movies that usually are in this conversation like Tora! Tora! Tora! but it's tough to surpass Saving Private Ryan imo.
