The Avengers really are outgunned.
DC has a lot of heroes on earth HH and below. Sheet numbers'd do it.
A little more than just smashing stuff will be needed.

Am not mad, i just don't see the point of going in details about 10 evil guys winning, or being nothing but a nuisance for a universe full of Herald beings.
