Kyp Durron vs. Satele Shan

Force, sabers, all out

Siding Kyp in a good fight.

Kyp

Satele is the more proven fighter imo.

How so?

Kyp.

I think he means in combat feats.

He has no less combat exposure than Satele.

Who has he beaten other than Corran and Vong?

They're both quite, quite formidable foes IMO.

A Sith Leviathan, which is impressive work.

He's tricky in that he's only occasionally shown to fight, but often compared favorably with those who fight a lot.

That's usually one of the tricky things involved with analyzing him as a character. People know he is among the high tier with regard to force ability, but along with lack of familiarity with the post ROTJ stuff (I'm in that camp), his character was pitifully underused.

He almost never does anything, his character was wasted after the Vong war.

He stalemated/defeated Jaina whilst disguised as a Vong. Not entirely positive what the circumstances were, but the text makes it seem as if she were amped.

Then there's Luke classifying him with high tier duelists like Katarn, and implying that he's better than Sith Bladesmaster Gaalan.

He also has been in a few duels besides that, I wouldn't discredit his merit as a swordsman, even if it wasn't his high point.

And of course, there's his Force feats--Which are pretty damn good.

Vengere and Lumiya considered him a top candidate for next sith lord (the only non-Skywalker on the list), passing him over because of attitude/unpredictability.

And Kun's ghost selecting him adds to a tremendous amount of credibility to him. Why the **** didn't they use him, hehe

More focused on their own characters.

Heck, we don't even know what he did during the Lost Tribe fight. Presumably wracking up a body count, but...
