Hulk VS Thanos: PREDICTIONS

So he avoided a confrontation with Hulk and is comparing Hulk to Champion because of how their powers work? Doesn't make sense to me. Hulk is like a power gem...the more he subconsciously tap into his power, the stronger, faster, and more durable he becomes and there has been no define limit on his ability to amp. His abilities are identical to a PG user and I never said that Thanos was scared of Hulk, but he clearly said he avoids Hulk for obvious reasons and compared him to a Champion that was steadily amping off the gem.

"This is how it would be like BATTLING the Hulk".

That statement is a comparison of power. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's not a comparison of power, it's a reference of power. Hulk is nowhere near Champion with the PG, but like Champion. Hulk's strength increases with his anger.

Thanos was alluding to that fact by acknowledging that Champion's abilities are similar to Hulk's. He didn't even avoid a confrontation with the Hulk. He has never teleported when he appeared so that point is moot.

He hasn't ever "avoided" Hulk. It's just a fleeting statement. Describing power levels.

To be fair, Thanos has "avoided" fighting Hulk. He either smacks and leaves, smacks him then sends underlings to fight Hulk or he mind controls him. Thanos doesn't go into direct confrontations with Hulk like he does Thor.

Not saying he's scared of Hulk but he doesn't fight him like he does other characters.

Thanos said "this is what it would be like battling the Hulk ". Again he said, battling Champion is what it would be like battling the Hulk. Let me repeat this for you again...battling Champion is what it would be like battling the Hulk. Battling Bruce Lee is what it would feel like battling Chuck Norris. Battling Hyperion is what it would feel like battling Superman. Display of power. Comparison. He is saying that if Champion and Hulk were to switch out, the fight would be similar. Why can't you comprehend this?

Where are you getting the word abilities from?

Your assumption of Champion is your opinion but that wasn't the first and only time Hulk was compared to Champion with the gem.

You can state Thanos never avoided Hulk, it doesn't take away from what he said my friend. You can repeat it a thousand times, I'm still going to go by what was stated on panel.

👆

Yay I love analogies!

Battling Hyperion would be like battling Superman.

But nothing like battling Silver Surfer.

Does that mean Hyperion is stronger than Surfer? Or that Surfer is stronger than Hyperion?

No.

It just means that you're fighting two characters with similar powers (flying bricks with laser beam eyes). Nothing to do with power levels. Of course, you can INTERPRET it as referring to power levels, or, you can interpret it as referring to abilities. But to say one interpretation is correct, and the other isn't....is faulty.

Agreed but the ending part is what nipped it in the bud "a confrontation i sought to avoid".

I don't think it is a stretch of imagination to say that Hulk is physically stronger and more impressive than Thanos, on the contrary. Overall Thanos is more powerful but the physical might is where Hulk should be more powerful.

If only people would see the common sense in that threads like this would be so much shorter.

so what do you base the physical might been more impressive? Lifting stuff! Yeah because that wins you fights.

You're repeating yourself and I agree with you. I said.

"Thanos was alluding to that fact by acknowledging that Champion's abilities are similar to Hulk's."

So we agree there. Don't know why you're arguing.

I got abilities from the fact that Thanos says.

"It would be like battling the Terran behemoth Hulk. A battle I have seeked to avoid"

I was using abilities in a general sense.

I would suggest you don't tell me what I can't comprehend like I am failing to understand. It isn't what I am saying. I agreed with you in fact. I was just saying you should know that Hulk isn't replicating the battle in Infinity Quest.

Thanos just stated that he wanted to avoid a battle because much like the Hulk Champions strength increases. So Hulk if given time could escalate beyond him. But don't assume he is going to immediately copy Champion.

As Thanos never said that. He said he imagined it would be similar to fighting Hulk.

He said he has sought to avoid him sure I know. In fact I have the comics on my PC. I am arguing that Thanos hasn't had a panic attack when Hulk appears and ran.

Thanos vs Hulk would be a tricky battle given Hulk's abilities. So don't think I disagree with you entirely. Just your interpretation.

No need to go I am failing to comprehend anything, just say you disagree and then why.

Actually, Hulk has better striking feats, as well as lifting so...

As Val Armorr proves. Guy can't lift one ton, the pansy.

@One_Angry_Scot

We're all repeating ourselves.
There are only so many ways you can say

Hulk wins

Thanos wins

Hulk is stronger

Thanos is stronger

You're an idiot

No, you're an idiot

Guess so, thread had a good purpose but ends up being clogged.

It happens every time Hulk is questioned in any way.

And it annoys me as good threads get derailed. I shouldn't have entered the discussion to be honest. If it's really that much of a problem for others make a thread about it somewhere.

Oh i hear you.
I guess i find it funnier than you, though.

like what? You tell me who Hulk has beat down that Thanos can't.

also striking power. Thanos ampes his punches with energy to get the results while Hulk does it with pure strength.

such as what stikes?

So that doesn't matter if that's how he punches.

Plus Thanos doesn't always amp his punches, he didn't charge/amp his punches against PG Thor, Lord Marvell, Black Bolt to name a few.

^He does it more often than not. I don't say he isn't a Class 100, just that Hulk is stronger. Feel free to disagree.
