Hulk VS Thanos: PREDICTIONS

Started by Estacado69 pages

Atm carter is typing while standing cause he cant sit from the butthurt...

No offense intended from this statement but the desperation here is laughable. We have a fight where Hulk is weakened and Thanos is using a DEVICE and with this device, it is amping him to unknown levels and Thanos fans are celebrating the showing. Goes to show how they'll cling to a win that doesn't exist. I don't care about the story because it proved nothing. Nothing on either end. We know the effects it had on both opponents so move on until the real fight happens. Issue 2 was lame, showed nothing, didn't give us a display of what would happen between Thanos and Hulk 'due to context'. Wake up from the dreams and wait until the next issue comes out. Until then, Hulk stomps.

Long post=butthurt and denial.

I challenge you carver to show where it states the device amps Thanos at all.

I'll wait.

Thanos needs no device to mentally beat Hulk... He Mindraped him with a thought last time they met.

Looks like Starlin thinks differently.

still waiting on proof Carver or is the only thing youre going to prove is that youre a lying coward?

I reserve the right to comment on this at a later date after reading it. However when I do, Carver do expect to bleeding all over again.

Lol...just look at the comic pages, we should be seeing the same thing that I have already mentioned.

Wrong Canonically Thanos has mindraped Hulk with a thought. There is no getting around this fact. It's that easy for him. I love the part where he laughs at Banner's intelligence LOL

Lol...love this guy. I think you are missing the point. If it was so easy for him to repeat this process, there should not have been a need for a device. Now do you get what I am saying?

You can't prove something by a negative. Just because he didn't do something doesn't mean he couldn't or needed more help. You are better than this by now carver. You know all about proving a negative. Just because I beat the shit out of somebody using kicks the first time I fought.. doesn't mean when I beat him with punches the second time.. That kicks wouldn't work or it was any harder. It simply means I beat the crap out of him with punches this time.. nothing more. Get what I'm saying now?

I understand what you are saying but I don't think you get the Hulk powerset. It's easier to mind rape a calm Hulk. The madder he is, the harder it is to mind rape him.

He wasn't calm when Thanos mindraped him.. He had literally just been fighting others and knew he was about to face the thread behind all of it... He wasn't calm at all

What are you talking about - we had a "fight" in virtual reality the outcome of which was apparently entirely determined by which of Thanos or Banner was better at rewriting the rules of that universe which was in turn determined by who was more intelligent. Hulk didnt get a look in because he is too much of a retard.

And as LGU says I'd be pretty surprised if there is an actual proper fight between the two in the remainder of the series. I imagine this scene was thrown in just to pad the story out for an extra issue and make the "Hulk vs Thanos" title not completely misleading.

So whats happening here?

Yeah i just read, massive hate he has for thanos (yoda style)

Looking at this encounter within a virtual world, I'm finding it difficult to understand what the Thanos camp here is celebrating. If the roles were reversed, I certainly wouldn't view it as a particularly good showing for Hulk...

Let's examine the facts:

1. Thanos was prepared for this encounter, planned it out in advance, and knew going in this was a virtual world

2. Banner/Hulk had no idea they were in a virtual world at the point off encounter, and had to figure it out midway through the encounter

3. Since Thanos knew this was a virtual world, and his foes did not, he was able to write the "rules" of this virtual world to severely weaken Hulk... In other words, he made sure IN ADVANCE, that he would have a significant advantage. (What does that say about someone who goes out of their way to make sure their foe will not face them on equal footing? Not exactly the most confident of actions is it?)

4. Thanos had a machine to connect with the virtual world. Banner/Hulk did not. In a matter of minutes, Banner managed to figure out that this was a world of virtual construct, and use his brilliance to someone connect with this virtual world, and mount a defense. So he did with his mind, what Thanos required a machine to do???

So to put this all into perspective... You have a scenario where Thanos had literally ALL of the advantages... A machine to connect with this world, foreknowledge of the virtual nature, control over the "rules" so that he could artificially weaken his opponents, etc... And yet somehow you're celebrating this as some amazing victory? Those quoting Thanos' bragging about his intellect are particularly mystifying, as based on this encounter, I'd have to say Banner came off far more impressive.

It'd be like 2 people being under water, and one of them has a mini sub, and the other has nothing... The guy who has the mini-sub brags how much of a better swimmer he is, and then all of you going nuts thinking he just pulled something amazing.

One has a MACHINE to connect with a world of MACHINE construct. The other uses pure brain power to tap in... Which is the more amazing feat?

One holds all the cards, and felt the need to use virtual world rules to artificially weaken his opponent... Are those the actions of a confident person, or someone who is concerned his opponent might be able to match him?

I mean, can you see Galactus using some machine to reduce the power of a street thug in order to face him? No? Why? Because he knows there is no way that thug presents a threat to him. Manipulating the rules of the virtual world to artificially weaken Hulk was a the move of a coward. The move of someone who is not 100% confident in their superiority, and actually makes me think less of Thanos.

This is why I'm surprised at the reactions here. I personally hated the issue as I was looking forward to a physical fight, regardless of who won. I feel misled by the title thus far, and hope they rectify it later. (Though I doubt they will at this point)

But as it stands, Thanos had prep on his side, a machine, and full control over that "World" which he used to zap the power of his opponent before facing him. Not exactly a good showing for Thanos.

Can't wait to see which Thanos guy will rebuke this and how.
