I'd say ever since Iron man with it's post credit scene setting up Avengers, other movies have started doing it more. I dunno why they can't just keep all these scenes in the film, why do I have to sit through some boring ass credits?
Oh, boo-hoo. They're trying to make you cretins a little more appreciative of what it takes to put these movies together.

By making me sit through credits? Doesn't make me appreciate it at all, I'd appreciate it more if they'd put these scenes before the credits. Why don't you calm down princess. Least I actually got a proper answer from Quan.
I'm actually surprised this film is sticking around the 79-80% area on RT. I expected it to drop a bit more. But that's hopefully a pleasant surprise.
I watched Godzilla (2014) again last night. It's actually quite well done, the main problem being that a lot of the action was in the dark and kind of hard to see, and of course killing Cranston sort of killed the movie. Also the fact that all the military running around trying to do stuff was all kind of pointless and served no purpose. But it's still pretty fun because of the emotion, visuals, and music.

I can understand the frustration of having to wait until the credits end. IMO it's completely pointless..on top of that you don't even know which movies will have a post credits sequence, it's not like they say "stick around for a post credits scene".
You might say that it makes people more appreciative of the movies, but I'd disagree. I'd wager that 90% of people that decide to wait for the credits to end aren't sitting there reading the credits and contemplating the hard work everyone did, they probably are sitting there playing on their phone until the scene comes on.

This film was better than the Godzilla one.
Originally posted by SurturThe theater I was at was almost full but me and my son were the only ones who stayed for the post credit scene.

ummmm, apparently, Kong is a baby in this movie, so i guess that means all you people complaining about him not being a match for Godzilla, can shut up.
This movie rocked.
It's basically Apocalypse Now meets Jurassic Park / King Kong.
See it on the biggest screen possible. Really fun action/adventure. John C. Reilly and Samuel L. Jackson were brilliant casting choices. John Goodman was also very good.

It's not like end credit scene is vital to the enjoyment of the movie. It's just a little tease for the future. If you don't want to stay don't stay. Most people don't know about it and leave. But there's music and credits to enjoy while you wait. So again I say you cretins need to appreciate how much work goes into these creations. These are the Renaissance paintings of our time. They are incredible collaborations. Especially a film like this one with so many effects and sets.
Glad I didn't watch all the trailers for this, cuz this shows just about everything...

Unless his flesh somehow gets many millions of times more tough and he develops powers along with growing bigger, it won't matter.
Kong was so soft that 1970s artillery made him bleed profusely and some explosives caused him to collapse and burned him very noticeably.
On the other hand legendary's Godzilla shrugged off a ~25 megaton castle bravo nuke.
Anyway, it was a great movie, much better than 2014 Godzilla, though I liked that too.
Originally posted by quanchi112I agree to an extent. Kong can move really well. Godzilla just kind of lumbers along when he walks while Kong's got some wheels son. However Godzilla has the ability to attack from afar and that will be hard for Kong to dodge. Though it does take a little time to charge his firebreathe attack.
Kong is going to get the better of Godzilla. His manuverability will be much better, his size will definitely be up to par when he's fully grown, and he's much quicker. Godzilla you're going to be in for it.
Either way this is going to be an epic battle.
