I'm not really sure if this has been posted before, but a rather interesting article about why the sorcerers haven't been more active in the MCU, up until Dr Strange. Apparently, they consider Ultron-level threats, and the like, below their pay-grade. Which makes sense, considering they're worrying about the entire reality.

Should be noted though Dr.Strange didn't have a massive opening. So the success it's gaining seems to be via WOM.
Also being a Marvel property alone doesn't grant that kind of success, given Ant-Man's total gross.
