It'd have been more satisfying if he hadn't possessed the gem at the time.

I think its safe to say he didnt used it all in the fight they usually showed the gems glowing whenever he used them and there was no indication of him doing so.

Every time he activated the power gem it gave off a purple wave.

I was also under the impression he didn't use it

The way the gems were portrayed in the movie is that they glowed when they were used. As to show the viewer what gem is being used. Like in the collector scene when Thanos is altering reality , the red reality gem was glowing.
When Thanos fought Hulk, there was no glow from the power gem.
Throughout the movie I dont think the gems were even activated all the time until Thanos decided to use them, THEN they glowed and did certain things like shoot blasts, or turn back time. Really toned down from the comics but I understand 100% why they would do this for the film.

The Russos said this in an interview concerning gem-less Thanos, "He's unbeatable on the battlefield, stronger than the Hulk..."

Lets be honest if they portrayed Thanos how he is in the comics on avarage he would kick the ass of the Avengers without the gauntlet even if they toned down his powers to the same degree they did to the others.

I would have liked him doing more on his own not just fisticuffs but forcefield use cosmic blasts, eye beams...etc all the stuff he does in the books.

Even though this is easily the best Marvel movie and I would rate 10/10...

Spoiler:
Thanos agenda was kinda dumb lets kill half of the Universe that's gonna help people.....I get it that they couldnt make him fall in love with Death and use the original story. Avengers vs Thanos....he beat the Hulk under 20 seconds yet he struggles when Spidey, IM and Dr. Doctor try to restrain him while having some stupidly powerful gems. Thor killing Thanos with IG was kinda dumb. Lets just open the force fields in the front cause if they go left we cant handle that strategy. Wakanda's offensive forces were pretty laughable.

This movie was pretty awesome and it helps that the humor sticks. Also my greatest fear was put to bed

Spoiler:
That the Russos wouldn't deliver on Thanos winning.

Also liked that

Spoiler:
Wanda and Steve have been hitting the gym with their superpower feats. Wanda in particular was mvp, or would have been had Thanos not won. It was also nice that Black Widow finally got some credible h2h action in the film though some of the characters got the nerf stick hard.

There was also some weird stuff like

Spoiler:
Spider-Man supposedly having Spider-Man Sense but still not really amounting to anything more that just a danger radar. There was also Wakanda's underwhelming defense considering all the hype about their technology. Vision casually being put in his place yet Okoye and Black Widow putting up a fight is also weird. Of course there's the giant green elephant in the room of Hulk being scared of Thanos after getting beat up through the rest of the film. Last but not least there was Thor getting an upgrade with Stormbreaker along with the rest of his space fairing stuff.

All in all a cool film where the Russo brother deliver on hype 6 years in the making

Spoiler:
also forgot Iron man finally get near comic book accurate suit was awesome

the way Thanos combo'd Hulk into oblivion was the most satisfying thing to me that ever happened on screen so far, as far as Marvel movie fights go.

Yeah the way he just

tactics were actually sound for a primarily defensive army imo. The only real error they made that I could see was not using the rhinos that were in BP.

Going to see this for the second time in a few hours! Can't wait. 🙂

I greatly enjoyed this movie

going back next Friday and saturday

So, I just arrived at home from seeing Infinity War in 3D/AVX and this movie...........this f*cking movie, guys...........was lit like a f*cking Christmas tree!!!

Easily the best MCU film to date! I loved this movie on so may levels and even teared up a few times. I have a few minor gripes, but all in all this is an amazing fiulm that was worth a decade wait.

9.75/10, without a doubt.

Cons/Dislikes:

Spoiler:
-Hulk was punked out. No Hulk? I mean, Why? I expect to see "Savage" Hulk aka the unstoppable force of nature to be in the sequel. I want to see Wanda "turn off Banner" like Jean Grey did in the X-Men "Onslaught" story and let Savage Hulk run rampant.
-Quill is a douche lord and ruined everything. I kinda lost some respect for the character, to be honest. PIS, I know, but I feel that it was such a dick move.

mannnn... the ending! it was ****in haunting!
