So...Kanan Jarrus. Is he any good?

I mean he got owned by the Inquisitor, but Kanan held his own after years of not training. We don't know the circumstances of his survival, but he was able to stop Ezra from falling from his death with the Force, and could easily mind trick two stormtroopers. So? Is he more powerful than average, an average Jedi or not so skilled?

Probably slightly above average, thus far.

Not to mention he has a pretty great TK feat, doing that to two Stormtroopers was highly impressive. Like Trocity said, he's probably above average, but we've yet to see more of him.

We don't really know how powerful the Inquisitor is, really. And to me the Inquisitor was holding back, at least for the majority of the fight. But relative to Jedi Padawans, Kanan definitely seems above average.

In one of the trailers he and Ezra were lifting a pretty large metal door, which was somewhat impressive. Vader would wreck him though.

Also, is it me? or did Kanan seem like he was struggling to deflect the blaster fire back at the stormtroopers? obviously he hasn't used a lightsaber in a while.

It wasn't just you. I felt the same way. His deflection was blocky; not at all the smooth way more experienced Jedi deflect blasterfire.

Character skill usually increases dramaticly in these shows. $20 says in the later seasons Kanan will be owning the inquisitor and may even outright kill him

Doubtful.

Yeah, I think that may happen sooner or later. I kinda want see more duels though, Kinda sucks that we only have Kanan and Ezra as our focus as I sincerely doubt these will do anything besides use blasters in the future seasons.

He is probably Ahsoka level.

Average to above average I'd say... for now.

That upcoming children's book focusing on Kanan, might give us some stats.

Kanan has beaten up stormtroopers with his bare hands! You know what that means?

It means he has the kind of strength and kinetic energy that Count Dooku couldn't possibly handle! Kanan > Dooku due to Dooku's clear weakness against Kinetic energy.

Edit-In all seriousness though Kanan has some nice feats. So I'd put him way above the average Jedi, but still way below anyone of note.

Agreed. I just re-saw his matchup with the Inquisitor. My impression is force is his best area, while he's more normal in saber.

The Inquisitor clearly had the advantage, and while I never plan on ever watching the series Kanan got his ass kicked and that sidekick was annoying as hell. Based on this fight I think the Inquisitor is close to Darth Malgus/Exar Kun/ level.

Probably because he can't use his Saber much. And instead relies on his other Force enhanced abilities+Tk.

''Kanan's level of Jedi training... He never completed his Jedi training.''

Yeah, he is probably Ahsoka level at best.

Ahsoka level? Really?.....Ahsoka has shown way better ability, Kanan has had some trouble, I wouldn't put him on that level yet, perhaps in the future.
