Actually, non-corded lightsabers were first invented by the Sith, and long before Naga Sadow's time. In fact they were first created by Karness Muur, and seemingly were commonly used in the era of Tulak Hord, though by the time of the Great Hyperspace War only a fraction of the Sith made use of them.

I thought Tulak Hord's lightsaber and other old ones was likely a corded one that was re-fitted to be cordless at some point later?

Huh??? I know Jedi katana and first light saber double blade Jedi katana, double blade light saber etc were all sith invention (ironic.... no? WHen you think than Jedi have a total cult to the blade of pure light) But For the time-line I have heard something different... First ligth saber were USED after Naga sadow time...
Because they were created at the end of the war...
