It is indeed true that Gnost Dural is a Kel-Dor, yes.

This is more or less what I had in mind, yeah. Mastery of Niman backed up with expertise in the other 6 forms makes him an effective generalist. In that way he's similar to Revan as a duelist, though on a lower grade.
