616 Doom was inside McArthur during the entire event of SW1 and nearly all of SWII likewise.
616 Doom had never seen/met the Byonder until FF#266, (late tie-in to SWII)
when Beyonder personally replaced the original destroyed non-existent Doom of SW1, with 616 Doom,
after taking his consciousness/spirit out of McArthur's body.
If all that wasn't enough. Beyonder coerced the whole thing.
Beyonder even literally re-wrote history on the spot so 616 Doom would now get "the feat."
It was later revealed this is something Beyonder always wanted sub-consciously.

Just to clairfy, while Galactus was hungry-ish during SW (or more specially, after he brought his Homeworld to Battleworld, as mentioned by Reed Richards), when Doom absorbed his power he actually did so as if he were absorbing what Galactus would have, all of the power that would have recharged Galactus instead went into Doom (which is why Galactus was then left KOed, and his Homeworld (which Galactus was going to absorb to battle the Beyonder) was gone. Doom after absorbing Galactus did so at a Very High Level, not simply just what Galactus had on him at that point in time.
Well, given the type of character PR Beyonder is, the DCU must put on the table its cards of the highest degree, such as:
Presence;
the combined power of Lucifer and Michael,
the GEB.
Also, on a further level, surely metatextual beings are needed here, such as:
Primal Monitor
Dax Novu
CA
Just my two cents, and probably there are other few characters I'm forgetting right now.
To say who would take? It's not for me, at this kind of level I just personally find the choice nearly impossible.

I haven't ever even seen anything resembling such a notion. Which wouldn't matter as Doom didn't fight Beyonder on Battleworld. He fought him in Beyonder's Realm.
