Wonder Woman beating Superman is more about the writer actually hating Superman than anything else. Since Tom Taylor left, Injustice Superman hasn't win a single fight on his own.

In the game Superman casually killed Shazam. In the comic, Shazam actually beats down Hercules after Hercules oneshotted Superman and beats down Wonder Woman.
Under Taylor Superman beats down Batman with green pill but in year five Batman with green pill nearly killed Superman.
It's like the writer is just finding new excuses to getting Superman humiliated but still somehow being able to continue at the top of everything.
Even if you wanted to say Raven did get hit by Spectre's attack..it seems quite obvious she didn't take the full brunt of the attack. Superman took a direct hit to the chest, Raven did not. Also someone said the attack was meant to erase her from existence. If that is true then wouldn't she have been erased from existence if any part of the attack hit her?
Does this mean Superman can tank multiversal attacks? I don't know, that would assume Spectre was basically using all of his power in an attempt to kill Raven.

I could honestly see this, it's my exact same thought.
I think saying he was holding back though in the different written instances is a poor excuse. It's obviously different interpretations between Writers on character power levels.

Its in the game and it isn't done physically so it pretty much doesn't debunk the Shazam/Hercules stuff.
Injustice comic superman and original game superman are vastly different. In game, he almost killed WW and was choking her without any problem. Killed Shazam with ease. In comics, the writers are pathetic. They made Superman lose in almost every battle. WW, Batman, Black Canary, etc . beat him. He was nerfed in comics, game superman is the perfect one.

Looking back at it, it's a weird instance it came off to me that Billy wasn't trying to physically escape and was going to try and say "Shazam" but wasn't able to.
But yeah the choke came off casual and it's weird he couldn't break out of frost breath.
Before Tom came in Superman's heat vision harmed Wonder Woman in the Martian Manhunter fight.
