What's to stop pym from shrinking him down and then growing giant and stepping on him? What's to stop iron man, Richards and t'challa from combining their intellect and technology to create some sort of device that temporarily turns off apoc's powers while spider-man, cap britain, beast and pym hold him off?

I'll venture that Iron Man and Captain Britain are the only ones even capable of harming Apocalypse, and even then...
In the Blood of Apocalypse storyline (his most recent appearances), they needed Pulse to do everything he could to weaken him and even then they only won because Apocalypse had given most of his blood to empower mutants.
