Did Anybody Dislike Matrix Reloaded?

It's very hard for me to say this, but I thought "Reloaded" was too wordy and too boring compared to the first one. I loved "The Matrix" when I saw it my first time and I couldn't wait to see it again to figure it all out. But with "Reloaded" I'm not sure if I'd be able to sit through it again. I thought the best action scenes were the one's they showed in the ads and previews, and I thought there were too many old dudes philosophising about what's going on. I know philosophy plays a huge part in this film and in the way the directors think, so I understand it is necessary, but I with they would have done things diferently. Granted, I am a bit confused about a lot of things so maybe if I understood it better I'd enjoy it more. I was also tired when I went to see it. I'm still a fan, so please don't hate me if I knocked it a bit.

not at all preston. i loved the movie, but i too didn't get everything that was going on with the philosophy. i need to watch it coupla times over before i think i can get a good grasp of it.

ya it was better than the first one for me but some parts i didn't understand but i will see the mvoie in thearters at least 5 times

oh ya and the story was great i thought

I thought it was a good movie...... although.. they did over do the fight scene slo-mo's a bit.....

It had its highs and lows, mostly highs.

The first film was revolutionary with its camera/slow motion bullet techniques and kick ass kung-fu. Seeing it then I was like Whoa! But now it's like, been there done that.

Matrix reloaded has so much action it actually becomes boring. I mean a 14 minute car chase?? Overkill if you ask me.

And its no fun with Neo being Superman. I mean he's invincible, what's the fun in that?
Like after Neo beats up the 100 agent Smiths we are supposed to be suprised and amazed that he can beat up 6 dudes with swords? Come on!🙄

The lobby scene in the first Matrix far surpasses any action in Reloaded. And it was filmed for peanuts compared to the $45 million it cost to film the free-way chase alone.

All together, I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, just not as interested.

I think it was great! It had more action then the first one, but it did have alot of talking.

Yeah watching it a second time thats how good it was.

a couple of my friends hated it.

Get out of here what's to hate????

I loved it, but almost felt like it was about the most movie I could take in one sitting 😉

Sensory overload!

yep. i've seen it twice. i know for a fact that i'm going to be going to see it two more times with friends who haven't seen it yet.

2nd time through, you notice a lot of more things in the movie

Theres a lot of things to hate the more and more I think about it, the less I like it.

Well I think that it was a great movie (8.5/10), but its hard to match the mystery and the freshness of the first. Tex had a great point about the lobby scene compared to the action scenes in Reloaded. I think that was the best thing about the original Matrix, it had a raw feel to it, action based more on technics and wires then on CGI. Its hard to find an action movie these days that doesn't use CGI in one form or another, the orginal Matrix not excluded, but i think they went a little overkill on Reloaded.

Sorry I posted here for those of you who don't like Relaoded. I really just wanted to comment on what Tex had wrote.

By the way, the lobby scene had alot of gun play like most of the action scenes in the original with the exception of the loading programs. I'm really looking foward to #3 seems like, from what I seen in the trailer, they will incorporate more of that.

At least the thios movie started it's own style I saw Blade 2 use Matrix tricks.

The gun pornography in the first film was more exciting.

There were more things in the second film that I didn't like. In the end I thought it pulled through pretty well.

I'm anticipating #3 more than I did #2. 👆

Theres been allot of Blade/Matrix comparisons throughout the years.
Both Matrix and Blade were filmed at the same time. Neither copied the other. Its just one of those weird coincidences.

Blade II just went along in the same style as its predecessor, it didn't necessarily copy Matrix.

Blade2 and matrix are alsome eloded was the kick-ass movie in2003. yeah!!!! go Neo!!!

8scratches chin*...i can't make anything of that sentence...

I can...sort of.

I loved the film. It had a different feel from the first one as well.
