Kinda funny. During the Luke vs vader fight in Rotj, Luke's lightsaber hits some of the metal railings and it basically stops the lightsaber. Then when Luke takes a harder swing that cuts through vaders hand and the metal rail. Previous swings against metal didn't do anything. Kinda reinforces the idea that it takes quite a thrust for a lightsaber to go through metal.....
