Blade vs. Wolverine

Both Blade and Wolverine believes the other to be dangerous and needs to be eliminated.

A few notes:

[*]Location is the heart of Manhattan at night with no one else around.
[*]They start 75 feet apart from each other.
[*]Fight is to the death and both intend to kill the other.

Who wins?

Wolverine. Blade can't kill Logan

Blade can certainly ko Logan, no doubt. Kill...not with his standard gear

Blade can definitely beat Logan, though killing him is another matter.

Logan tanked the heat from a nuclear explosion. He tanked Phoenix Jean from tearing him apart at the end of last stand. Logan has great healing feats.

Wolverine can't be killed by Blade.

Being KO'd, however, is another matter.

Wolverine would likely beat most opponents that are 1 or 2 notches above him in skill/strength/speed just by sheer rage, perseverance and healing ability. He'd eventually get a fatal hit in on Blade despite being outclassed

Blade stomps.

Blade stomps, the only thing Logan has going for him is his adamantium and insane HF. Blade is faster, stronger and a much better fighter than Wolvie. The only thing Logans enhancements will do is keep him in the fight that much longer.

Blade should win

Wolverine gets KTFO, his only chance is that Blade gets tired after a few hours and starts making mistakes.

Wolverine gets beat down worse then he did when he fought Raven.

Seems like the consensus varies quite a lot. Anyone willing to come up with a more detailed and well-elaborated post?

Pretty much everyone agrees that Blade would win a fight, but would have trouble actually killing Wolverine. so what exactly do you mean by "Seems like the consensus varies quite a lot"?

Blade could potentially kill him if his sword is Adamantium.

The fight is to the death. So commenting that Blade would win in a fight where victory is obtained by a KO is meaningless.

How does that change the fact that almost everyone holds the same opinion, which means the consensus doesn't actually vary, at all?
