Planet of the Apes versus I am Legend

So Cesar and his group of apes from Dawn of the planet of the Apes are in NYC when the events of I am Legend occur. They are unaffected by the virus, but find themselves in a war against the creatures from I am Legend. Who wins and gains control of the city?

Apes. Smarter and have guns.

Apes. They can easily set traps during the day time and are physically stronger. Not to mention a lot smarter to.

Vamps outnumber them 100/1. Plus the apes will be infected.

That was only the one Vamp and he was noted as being particularly intelligent.

True, however that does not change that the vamps massively outnumber the apes, and the apes can and will be infected.

Going from what we saw, don't think there's more than a couple hundred or so infected in that section of NY

Don't know about the apes being stronger and faster. The vampires smashed will smith's SUV over with 2 hits.

They do not massively outnumber the apes.

The virus wont work on the apes, stated by the OP. I wanna say the apes. They are very resourceful and will exploit the vamps weakness: inability to be out during the day.

OP states that virus doesn't affect apes. Apes win. Zombie-vamps are more numerous but not that much. After all, how many did we actually see in the movie? The apes were pretty numerous themselves.
