Wasn't Impossible Man Imp level, too? Or was he overblown?

Lol stomp in favour of DC AGAIN.

Impossible Man isn't remotely close to 5D-level.

Mainstream IM isn't. There was one alternate version of IM in the Excalibur series who could compete. But 616 couldn't. Not even close.

Mxy inspired Stan to create Impossible Man.

😂

Impossible man did have an extended fight against Mxy in a crossover which ended in a stalemate. Here are some of the famous scenes in the fight.

Does anyone have the entire fight? Anyways, this is a stomp for the imp.

Here it is (your scans aren't even consecutive btw):

This crossover was even referenced in IM's bio (2006 handbook) from what i recall, though it did specify that it was an alternate version.

That crossover was directly mentioned in IM's 2007 OHOTMU bio(Update #1):

_______________

Mxy impersonating IM and tormenting an alternate F4 was also mentioned in the same bio:

This was a clear reference to the events of Superman v2 #50:

Whole bio.

lol i think you're understating their relative levels. 😂

So, they're equals according to that crossover?

according to that crossover....which is inapplicable to DC. If we apply Mxy's crossovers to the MU and thus canonize the SS/Superman crossover by default, we might as well apply Beyonder's feats to Mxy. Because Mxy being associated with the MU began even before the IM instance in Superman v2 #50. In issue #11 of the same series, we get implications that Mxy is actually the Beyonder. That was the first issue which set the tone of Mxy crossing over to MU.

Yeah, after reviewing the bio (was too lazy to look initially) i see that i confused the note with history section (turns out the note was referring to the Excalibur version and not the Superman/SS crossover).

Nah. If Mxy were serious, he'd of smashed IM over the head with a galaxy, or dropped a universe-busting ACME bomb on his lap.

Ok, cool, but I don't see how that connects Beyonder's feats to Mxy according to that.
Because Mxy was never the Beyonder. While Mxy, was Mxy in those crossovers.

Except for the fact that according to that issue Mxy was the Beyonder.

Beyonder was just Mxy's disguise in MU which, again, is only centered in this issue, and thus cannot be applied to Marvel's actual Beyonder. What im saying is, non of Mxy's disguises (whether it's Beyonder or "mixed pickles" - like it was in the crossover and referenced in bio - are actually applicable to gauge Mxy's power with a character from Marvel).

Come on opr, just cause he shape-shifted into a look alike, doesn't mean he's him.

Although he doesn't look exactly like the Beyonder either I just noticed.

Actually, it can't be applied to Marvel's Beyonder,
cause it was never the real deal Beyonder, or even a copy of the real deal,
it was a mirage/illusion/shape-shift whathaveyou in appearance only.

Now here, I agree with you 100%.

He does look like the Beyonder. And he also goes by the name "Ben Deroy" Put the letters in the right place and you'll get "Beyonder". He also said that he's from "yonder".

And this is what issue Superman v2 #10's brief synopsis of the next issue (#11, where Mxy/Beyonder appeared) is:

"He comes from Beyond and you won't believe he's here in the DCU."

Anyway, we agree here so there is no further debate to be had, i just wanted to point out these little details.

That's nice and all, but it doesnt mean Mxy was the real Beyonder from Marvel comics.

An impersonator (in appearance) perhaps, but nothing else.

👆

So pre-rec Beyonder was indeed Mxy according to DC. Well since they share the Omniverse with Marvel it is official. vin
