Well it seems like Spectre killed him in Injustice, how he did it? With a planet sized green sword.
What's so hard to understand about that statement? It means exactly what it says.
Pre-FP: The Stranger could be imprisoned by magical means and can be drained like in Morgaine Le Fey's case (WW v2 #108). It was also specifically pointed out in AC #634 that Stranger was about to get killed with magic.
post-FP: Faust and his minions imprisoned PS and were about to drain him (though that's questionable since N52 PS's power source comes directly from the Presence, while pre-FP it's confirmed that it doesn't), and Constantine whippped a spell which imprisoned him as well. All this iirc took place in the Blight arc.
So yeah, he can be imprisoned and drained. With high levels of magic. Post-FP is much more powerful though.
Phantom Stranger's weaknesses
Phantom Stranger has no physical weaknesses. His only true weaknesses are when people play on his sense of mercy or insecurity, or he is caught off-guard. He can be temporarily overpowered by magic. If caught off-guard, he could probably be knocked out by a punch. But he cannot be permanently beaten by the Spectre. That's been established already in this books.
