Well, i think this is a good match up.

Assuming this is Wrecker at his best, non power sharing self, i'm giving him the win here.

All kidding aside, while not low ending Kalibak, 90% of the time we see Wrecker, he's got his power spread out. I really think at full strength, this'd be fairly even.
After that, its choosing between two guys with more potential than wins, and i think Wrecker is the better of the two.

I'm the guy who made the wrecking crew respect thread. Issue is wrecker is all over the map powerwise. He even has abilities he hasn't used in 20 years. At his very best he has given thor a hard time, but that was many many many years ago

Kalibak is stronger, more durable and not sure if he has his pre 52 upgrade or not..... If he does then it's a stomp

All well and good, you're definitely not just picking a name out of a hat.
I'm agreeing on the all over the map, in regards to Wrecker, too.
But, if we pin him down in Istanbul (was Constantinople), he does indeed have a WIDE range of powers, (absorbing and projecting energy; creating illusions, force field, minor earthquakes, teleportation, and can mentally control any weak-minded individual -cough-Kalibak-cough- touching the crowbar). Plus he can straight up go toe to toe, uh, hoof.

I think both Kalibak and Wrecker suffer from the same, endless jobber, syndrome 🙁

Kalibak's a shit character, so that's okay though 🙂

Here's Kalibak's upgrade I mentioned. Even without it I would give him the nod

In the next issue he KO'ed Orion, chumped Firebird and was badly beating Firestorm till Firestorm did a point blank nuclear explosion which KO'ed him.

We don't know that. Besides if we go by current version this thread is pointless as nu52 kalibak has no showings. He's only recently appeared in the dcu.

This should be the key to all thoughts on this subject. It is too soon to really argue for Nu52 Kalibak. Too many ifs, and buts.
