Why Desert Stormtroopers if it doesn't even take place in a desert?

Also Old Republic Troopers....are we speaking Kotor era? TOR era? Which?

The ones in the Hope TOR trailer.

Do we even have any info on Republic troopers as to what equipment they had? There's info on the SpecForces sure, but regular troopers?

Republic technology doezn't compare with the empire... But they have plazma + energy zhield !! Rocket luncher... With baridium (firzt mazz zcale uzing of the baridium in a war.....)

Were they? Because as I recall reading, there were also regular troopers in the mix too. The only definite SpecForce member shown was Jace.

Unless the Old Republic military ground force is comprise of just SpecForce, which doesn't make sense.

Well there were standard troops there, since Jace and Havoc organised a rag tag team of random troops.

But none of them were shown 😛 All the armor there was SpecForce, and if it wasn't all SpecForce then the OR troops stomp here, because that armor is stupidly powerful.

Jace's squad was Havoc squad.

How do we know the armor shown was all Specforce? You see just regular Republic Troopers wearing pretty much the same armor in game, do you not?

But if so, then ok. Though I recall one of the troopers just dropping dead...possible from blaster fire?.../Shrug

Although I question why people make mismatches constantly on here...that's no fun.

Alright better...however...few things now that I've seen those scans.

The standard armor only is noted to resist small arms and shrapnel, that's really nothing that Stormtrooper armor hasn't done already.

The E-11 blaster rifle isn't a small arms weapon, it's one of the best produced by BlasTech Industries and really powerful.

In this regard, their shield generator won't account for jack because the T-21 light repeating blaster(which Sandtroopers do use) is noted as being able to punch through shielded targets, armored vehicles and powerful enough to wipe out an entire squad within seconds.
