State of the Union

Gonna be interesting to hear this tonight, supposedly the White House says this will be a "different kind of speech."

How was it?

I lost interest..

I only saw parts because I was playing bar trivia, but from what I saw, he hit on some points that his base has been waiting 6 years to become priorities, like closing Gitmo, raising taxes on the rich, and addressing the out of control American intelligence apparatus in the form of the CIA and NSA.

When Obama said he wants to heavily tax the filthy rich some Republicans looked like their heads where going to implode and then explode

I didn't see it, saw the clip where Obama jokingly said how he won both of his campaigns in response to people applauding over him saying how he didn't have any more campaigns to run. Was pretty funny.

I take it you likes the SOTU.

WTF? Quite clearly, Obama's staff have been reading my KMC posts. lol

John Boehner's perpetual mean-mugging of Obama was beyond hilarious

That and Joe Bidens black eyes..they creep me the **** out.

There was a point where Obama winked and smiled. Wonder why he did that.

Also, it seems there are only three different emotions expressed in the audience: goofy enthusiasm, stony contempt, and awkward ambivalence.

I saw that too. That face is kinda scary like "You think you people know whats up, but you have no clue."

The audience reactions as well as Boehner's and Bidens were creepy.

For me the best part was watching the two men behind Obama. There was paleface, perpetually smiling Biden, beaming like a proud papa; and next over was salon-tanned Boehner, with his eternal scowl and being careful to applaud below the podium, where you could barely see his hands.

The rest was typical blah-blah-blah, yada yada yada, like every president before.
