In general, both One Piece and Naruto are pretty hard to measure. Ask any fan who's faster, and you'll get a different answer (Nami redirects lightning, or Itachi reacts to a Sasuke move said to be 100 times faster then sound, or whatever.)

I know Kishi himself at one point claimed his characters can't dodge bullets, which I don't really agree with especially against Raikage and up. On average, the speed feats of both universes are DBZ type "some degree of insane but incalculable speed" though...

Um, Luffy has no speed feats close to Gai's, because Gai was able to dominate Jyuubidara in terms of speed. Jyuubidara, who tagged Minato three times before he could warp with Hiraishin. HIRAISHIN IS LIGHT SPEED, meaning it should activate pretty damn fast too. Also, Minato was able to warp before Raikage could tag him once, the same Raikage who was as fast as lightning itself. Luffy is a slug compared to a fraction of that.

Also, Gai didn't, "warp space", that's a mistranslation. He warped the Gudoudama spear by moving so quickly that the air pressure bent it. The spears of will made by Madara are 10 times harder than steel btw, according to Shizune. That is monstrously faster/stronger than Luffy could ever dream of.

They are not hard to measure, as I have just proven.

Kishi 1st Naruto manga had guns and he stated
"guns wouldn't fit." He wanted. Traditional style manga also Kirin was natural lighting where itachi susnaoo at point blank shielded him.

I'm talking about when he fought the Gokage. When he fought Hashirama, that one slash cut a mountain RANGE in half. But the unsheathing thing with two mountains is just as impressive, imo.

Madara's only means of beating a guy who can bust city-sized objects with mere punches (despite being injured and despite being underwater) is to use sharingan hax. Otherwise he gets blitzed. If Luffy gets in a jet bazooka, he's gonna be in way worse shape than he was against Gai.

And even not counting Night Gai, Midnight Elephant was punching him through Kilometers of earth each hit! That's also well above Luffy!

Like, you know the big statue guy being fought right now? Gai could one-shot it with Elephant... which is a rapid fire series of moves that Madara successfully tanked.

Gai has much superior physical attacks than Luffy with Elephant, and said attacks *didn't work*.
